Life Of Alexander The Great

Early Life
He was born in 356 B.C in Pella, Macedonia.
He was strong.
When he was 12, he tamed a Bucephalus, witch means ox-head, a horse that no one else could ride.
He loved Homer`s books.
His first teacher was Leonidas.
Early Life continued…His mother was Olympias.
His father was King Philip ll.
He slept with a copy of the Iliad under his pillow.
His second teacher was Aristotle.His mother told him his ancestor was Achilles.
Battles
He won the battles of Chaeronea, Gracious River, Issus, and Jhelum River.
He lost the battle of Gaugamela.
Arrowheads that may have been shot from the bow of Alexander. the Great.
Death
On his way back from the battle of Jhelum River, Alexander was bit by a mosquito, developed a fever, and died in Babylon, Babylonia in 323 B.C at 33 years of age.
