Our Current Program
The Organization is on progress to introduce very potential
initiative known as Horticultural Farming for Improved
Production Economy that shall reveal the solution to youth
unemployment through agricultural sector in Tanzania.
The project intends to involve 1000 youth and other peasant
communities on building their capacities on
improved irrigation scheme with three (3) significant phases,
consisting;
(I) Awareness on Irrigated-Farming potentiality-
Through Open Meetings and Social Medias (i.e. facebook,
twitter, blogs, instagram and other related platforms)
(II) Demonstrating Irrigated Farming strategies
-Through pilot farm development
AND
(III) Connect trained youth & other peasant individuals to
financial institutions.
-(i.e. SACCOS and Banks) to access the agri-start up loans.
Why solution picks Agri-Sector?
The project picks the agricultural sector since it is the
foundation of the country’s economy. It accounts for about
half of the national income, three quarters of merchandise
exports and is source of food and provides employment
opportunities to about 80 percent of individuals. It has
linkages with the non-farm sector through forward linkages to
agro-processing, consumption and export; provides raw
materials to industries and a market for manufactured.
How youth can be employed from
Agri-sector?

The initiative shall establish the training base that utilizes thedrip system set up in irrigation at Mvomero District wheredemonstration on entire project activities shall take place forthe nearby youth and other peasant community groups.
The initiative shall expand to other farming zones to makeaware the young people and other indigenous community toparticipate into agriculture as the biggest employer, incomeearnings and food security.
In connection to that, the initiative shall introduce theAgricultural ShowCase (ASC) that shall act as platform fordiscussing and presenting the Agricultural Context throughTV/Radios.
Continues…….
This project views that;
i. inadequate awareness on farming and technology ii. poor
lending access, non-specific training on type of crops to grow
and iii. unreliable market
cause the youth and other individuals to shun away from
agricultural sector.
