Established Hand in Hand Eastern Africa in 2010, so far:

Financial and business training provided to 78,000 members

Loans to the value of: US$1.9m (through partners, or directly)

Three years in - Evaluation out in 2013

41,000 rural farmers trained (80% female)

33,000 enterprises and 44,000 jobs

91% started regular savings; 92% higher incomes

Our model is now a platform for Kenya’s Ministry of Agriculture extension

services and value-chain work
