Custom Build Serviced Plots Loan Fund
The Custom Build Serviced Plots Fund is £150m to provide shovel ready plots ready for the construction of custom build homes
Bids are accepted from small and medium enterprises (SME) providing 5 or more serviced plots on a site
SMEs carrying out the site infrastructure/servicing work and then offering design and build can apply
Funding is available as a recoverable loan
A Builders Finance Fund loan can be applied for providing the money is not for the same work. Any outstanding HCA loan must also be repaid first
Benefits:
Provides short term loan finance to
help SMEs bring forward serviced
building plots for custom build projects
Addresses the challenge faced by
custom builders in securing a suitable
plot for custom build projects
Eligibility:
Schemes must deliver sites with 5 or
more shovel ready plots
Bidders must be a private sector
developer with the capability to deliver
their project
Schemes must have outline planning
permission
Loans are for residential new custom
build projects only
Qualifying expenditure includes on-site
infrastructure costs; provision of land
utilities; land preparation; demolition;
fencing and landscaping; and professional
fees

Timescales:
Bidding for the fund is available on a
continuous basis until funds are fully
allocated
The fund is open for investments until
2019/20
Loans must be repaid by 31 March
2025
