It will be held at the Fraternal Order of Police, DC Lodge #1 Banquet Hall, 711 4th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. It will be a catered buffet dinner. Reservations are required in order to have a good headcount for the event. Send your reservation to: [email protected] or call 703-491-5585 or return the bottom portion of the attached dinner flyer via USPS mail. It is well known that parking is always an issue with any event in the District; the FOP has a parking facility at the concrete parking pad/lot at "the top of the hill" which is north of H Street, NW on 2nd Street, NW, no real address, but you can probably GPS the address as 900 2nd Street, NW and it will take you to the driveway. The event is open to DC Chapter survivors and families (children are most welcome too). An invitation to the event is attached. You are asked to RSVP the dinner NOT LATER THAN November 27, 2015 so we can order the number of meals necessary. You are invited to attend the Washington, DC Chapter of C.O.P.S. Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 6:30PM at the Metropolitan Police Department Headquarters (Henry J. Daly Building), 300 Indiana Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20001- 2106. There is only very limited “on-street” parking available. Anyone can attend this event. Light refreshments will be available following the ceremony.

Chapter Bylaws: our Chapter Bylaws (dated November 2015) have been approved and adopted at our Business Meeting on November 21, 2015. If any Chapter survivor wishes to request a copy of the Bylaws, send an e-mail to: [email protected]. DC Chapter survivors: You are officially informed that the next Chapter election of Chapter elected officers will be held in March 2016. The term of office will be for two years. The elected positions are President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. A Chapter Elections Committee has been appointed by the President. The Committee consists of Cindy Carter (Chairperson), Mary McGee and Sharon Wagner. For more details of the election or if you wish to be considered for one of the elected positions or wish to nominate someone to hold an elected positon, contact Cindy Carter not later than December 31, 2015 at: [email protected] WEBSITE: Check out the Chapter website for special notices and announcements.
