Going forward: what do we expect from 2015/16?
Histon & Impington Parish Council: Chair's annual report

• Our upper tier authorities have been undergoing a squeeze from central government for several years now
• It’s not currently known how this will continue but it will and we need to think about if and how we should respond.
• There seem to be two ways:• We pay to do things ourselves
• Paint lines on roads, empty dog poo bins, employ youth workers etc
• We encourage the development of networks which will provide a community safety net for when that’s needed
• The Parish Council needs to address this challengeMay 2015
Now and before I come to a close: a word about austerity
Histon & Impington Parish Council: Chair's annual report

• The many community institutions which contribute to the vibrancy of Histon & Impington
• Our district and county councillors who have delivered significant wins this year
• Fellow councillors who have committed time to enabling this council to deliver and move on
• Our staff: those in the office and the team outside which looks after the Rec and other open spaces
