Scientific Advisory CommitteeSalient Recommendations Action taken

SAC meeting of KVK should be conducted prior to the annual zonal workshop of the KVKs

SAC meeting is conducted (5.2.15) before annual zonal workshop of the KVKs (23-25.5.15)

Vacant post lying at KVK should be filled as early as possible

Vacant post of PC and SMS (Home Science) have been filled

Seed processing unit of KVK should be made available for seed grading of farmers through custom hiring

KVK has started the seed grading of farmers on custom hiring basis.

Live stock activities should be increased in annual action plan of KVK

More emphasis is given to animal husbandry interventions in annual action plan 2015-16

Bio-fertilizers production unit of KVK should be expanded to produce more bio-agents

Production of Tricoderma species has started along with the bio- fertilizers

Cultivation of desert medicinal plant like Aloevera and Ashwagandha should be promoted in the area

Awareness training and demonstration are planned in action plan 2015-16

Participation of farm women should be increased in KVK interventions

Efforts are being done to increase the involvement of farm women in KVK intervention

KVK should establish Azolla demonstration unit

Unit is established at KVK for demonstration

KVK should develop its own website and upload their action plan and all other activities time to time

Development of KVK website is under process
