(( Water pollution )) To figure out the meaning of water pollution , it is better to understand the basic concept of pollution. Pollution is the introduction of harmful substances or products into the environment , and has many types ,which the main is water pollution .It is categorized into two to different groups ,the first one is point sources which are easy to identify and control such as factories , sewage system ,power plants ,and oil wells , they are direct sources of water pollution and can be reduced . and the second is non - point sources which are ambiguously defined and harder to control such us rain or snow moves through the ground and picks up pollutants as it moves towards a major body of water , the runoff fertilizers from farm animals and crop land ,and air pollutants getting washed or deposited to earth. There are many chemicals which are responsible to water pollution The 20 most abundant compounds in groundwater at industrial waste disposal sites include TCE, benzene, vinyl chloride...all are carcinogens, and also affect liver, brain, and nervous system Polychlorinated biphenyls Byproducts of plastic, lubricant, rubber & Paper Industry . also anyone is responsible of water pollution.
