Components of biodiversity
Q1- WHAT DO WE GET FROM BIODIVERSITY?
Ans- Oxygen, food, Medicine, clean water, Culture And religion, ideas, collectively = LIFE
Q2- WHY SPECIES ARE OCCURING TOGETHER?
Ans- Their need is quite same !
Q3- Is species are interdependent to each other?
Ans- YES !
•Why Himalayan Biodiversity is important- The Himalaya is Hotspot and its mountains rise abruptly, resulting in a diversity of ecosystems that range from alluvial grasslands and subtropical broadleaf forests to alpine meadows above the tree line. Vascular plants have even been recorded at more than 6,000 meters. Himalayan Region is estimated to be as many as 25,000 or 10 percent of the world's flora and the home to important populations of numerous plants varieties, large birds and mammals, snakes, tigers, elephants, bears etc.

CAUSES FOR LOSS OF BIODIVERSITY •Overgrazing by animals of Local people and Gujjar’s
•Road Construction in the biological sensitive zone.
•By alien invasive species.
•Construction of Hydro-projects on Maa Ganga-Bhagirathi .
•Deforestation by population for livelihood i.e.- fuel, fodder, manure, grazing, fishing and hunting, expansion of agricultural land for an ever-increasing population, and the practice of slash-and-burn agriculture in mountain regions.
•Unsustainable use of Natural Resources and Exploitation
•Uncontrolled Tourism in eco-sensitive zone.
•Natural Calamities, Forest fire etc.

What we Should Do Think in favor of Humanity and for Generation
Next. make your home- School - surrounding – city
clean and green. Do not use polythene. As much as possible eradication is necessary of
alien invasive plant species such as Lantana sp, Parthenieum sp. etc.
