• Bataan is a peninsular province bounded by the Manila Bay the South China Sea

• 687,482 total population

• 79 coastal barangays

• 227,266 coastal population

• 11 municipalities and 1 city

• 1,373 sq. km. total land area

• 133,962 has. municipal waters

• 188.66 km. length of coastline

Mangrove Planting Activities • PGB with BCCFI

- Location: City of Balanga, Municipalities of Abucay, Pilar, Orion and Limay

- No. of hectares planted – 24 hectares

- No. of propagules planted – 207,000 (with a survival rate of 70%) and 47,000 seedlings

- No. of volunteers involved – more than 5,000 from different sectors

• PGB with LGUs

- Initiatives from Samal, Abucay, Balanga City, Pilar, Orion

• PGB with PO (Sagip Likas Yaman-Dagat ng Bataan or SALBA)

- No. of hectares planted – 21 hectares
