Recycling in many Asian countries
needs to improve
The good news is that education and awareness
is reasonably high
While we need to increase recycling rates, we also
need to make sure recycling materials can be
reprocessed
Recycle Mania Asia aims to have students see waste is as a ‘a resource’
To do this we need leadership from schools to
show others how this can be achieved
Welcome to Recycle Mania Asia
Supported by Keep America Beautiful and College & University Recycling Coalition
We are following in the footsteps of
Recycle Mania USA
We can motivate and increase recycling in schools
by friendly competition
Within each country, within ASEAN
and then internationally
How?
We start with six schools, we expand to one state, we grow across the country.
Each year we run a 4-week / 8-week
competition, we have a
manual and rules
Teams have to test their ideas, create videos,
engage other students
