The idea behind the project title is to develop an online crime reporting system which is easily accessible to the public. The police department (high Authorities) and the administrative department .This system registers the complaints from people through online. It will also helpful to police department in catching criminals. Person can give any complaint at any time.

The project titled as “Online Crime Reporting“ is a web based application. This software provides facility for reporting online Fir’s, view missing persons, show most wanted person details, stolen vehicles,etc.

Any Number of clients can connect to the server. Each user first makes their login to sever to show their availability.

The “Online Crime Reporting” project is to provide all crime management solutions which are easily accessible to everyone. The Crime application starts with the common people who want to log a fir through the website so it can be very useful for police department to find out the problem in the society without people are coming to the police station every time.

Introduction of Project


System Study : Existing System In the existing system only we can see the details of particular information about the police stations in a particular state, the existing system has more workload for the authorized person, but in the case of Proposed System, the user can registered in our site and register fir about a particular city or person.

Limitations of Existing System : More man power. Time consuming. Consumes large volume of pare work. No direct role for the higher officials. To avoid all these limitations and make the working more

accurately system needs to be one step advance computerized.


Objective of Project We know users are of many categories, like users from who know

working with computers very well and users who didn’t know about computers. So all the category can use the system. So it should be user friendly.

The software is made to work efficiently and effectively. It results in regular and timely action against crime reported. It can be observed that the information can be obtained easily and accurately.

Better communication, Reducing crime and the Entire functioning less time consuming.

The main aim of this project is to secure and make privacy on crime related data over manually data storage. This website base project is made for providing the information and awareness about crimes.

System Testing : Test CasesAUTHENTICATION TEST:Verification of permitted users is done by entering the valid & authorized user’s entry on login page & also checks case sensitivity for login entry.

QUERY TEST:Testing for various queries generated in the application were tested whether query request for local database returns the correct dataset for the corresponding query as well as queries for updating (edit), save the data properly in database.

VALIDATION TEST:Here it was tested that, if correct or incorrect entries by the user are accepted & the processed data outputs the expected results.


In the modern world, the use of computers and Mobile phones is

becoming rampant. As a result the, crime reporting system needs to embrace new technologies. This report has presented a simple, convenient, cost-effective, but efficient online crime reporting system with a user-friendly, sensitive and intelligible web interface. Whereby it can be accessed at any time provided there is internet connection.

Conclusion


Future EnhancementsThe Future Enhancement which shall include in this software are:

1. We look forward to working with the Government in implementing the recommendations and seeing an improvement in the effectiveness of the organization.

2. The method of video conferencing can be added to make the project livelier.

3. An intercom facility will add a little more flexible communication between the Master and Branch In Charge, Master and Members, etc.
