In the forests there are mainly trees and bushes, which, according to ecological and economic importance are divided into following groups in Armenia

- Main group- Secondary group- Rare types - Valuable bushes

The trees of the main group are the biggest and most resistant trees, which are occupying big areas. The trees that belong to this group are

Beech Oak Hornbeam Pine

Beech is a genus of deciduous trees in the family Fagaceae, native to temperate Europe, Asia and North America

An oak is a tree or shrub in the genus Quercus of the beech family, Fagaceae, having approximately 600 extant species.

Hornbeams are relatively small hardwood trees in the genus Carpinus. Though some botanists grouped them with the hazels (Corylus) and hop-hornbeams (Ostrya) in a segregated family

Pines are conifer trees in the genus Pinus in the family Pinaceae. They are the only genus in the subfamily Pinoideae.

The trees of secondary group are occupying the biggest area of the forests after the trees of the main group. The secondary group trees are mostly in wet and shadowed areas of the forests.

The trees of secondary group are Elm Maple Lime tree Birch Fraxinus

Elms are deciduous and semi-deciduous trees comprising the genus Ulmus in the plant family Ulmaceae.

Maples are variously classified in a family of their own, the Aceraceae, or together with the Hippocastanaceae included in the family Sapindaceae

Lime Tree is a genus of about 30 species of trees native throughout most of the temperate Northern Hemisphere.

Birch is a broadleaved deciduous hardwood tree of the genus Betula in the family Betulaceae, which also includes alders,hazels, and hornbeams, and is closely related to the beech/oak family, Fagaceae.

Fraxinus is a genus of flowering plants in the olive and lilac family, Oleaceae. It contains 45–65 species of usually medium to large trees.
