Earthquake in Christchurch

Christchurch Earthquake

On Tuesday at Christchurch 12.51 pm their was a major Earthquake.

The damage:

The earthquake was a shallow earthquake that was 5 km deep that’s why they had a big Earthquake .

A lot of water came out of the ground and nearly all of the buildings went falling down to the ground except for the hospital.

When the Earthquake happened there were no trains, no power plus the water pipes broke that’s why there were water spreading out everywhere on the ground.

Emergency services

In Christchurch they had a long earthquake and the earthquake was very large, it knocked down buildings and some people got stuck inside so they knocked on the windows to get the other peoples attention to get rescued.

U.S.A sent people to go help the people to help Christchurch and they also sent some extra rescuing teams, they are very helpful.

After shocks

After every earthquake there are little earthquakes called after shocks they happen after every earthquake.

Some people think that After shocks come before earthquakes but they are wrong it comes after a earthquake.
