Bacteria Kill:• All biological treatment systems rely upon bacteria and other micro-

organisms to treat the waste. • These can be inadvertently killed by household products such as

bleach, Lysol, Pine-Sol and other disinfectants. • Once the toxic chemical is flushed from the system, the bacteria will

begin to grow again. • During this growth period untreated and partially treated waste will be

discharged. • To protect drain fields and avoid violating discharge regulations, the

use of MIGHTY MIKE will re-start the culture with no delay.

Overload:• Many small systems are susceptible to hydraulic overloads. • High flows can wash solids into the effluent. • The lost solids contain bacteria and other beneficial micro-

organisms. • This loss of solids can prevent formation of a culture capable of

treating the incoming waste water. • Regular addition of MIGHTY MIKE will permit the system to work

efficiently despite these overloads. • MIGHTY MIKE will replace the lost microbes.

Light-loading and no-loading:• All systems require a more or less constant supply of incoming sewage as

food for the microbes. • During periods with very light loading or with no loading at all, the culture

can be reduced to the point where it becomes unable to treat the sewage. • Regular use of MIGHTY MIKE will aid the formation of a good working

culture. • For new systems or systems that have been out of service MIGHTY MIKE

will accelerate the startup.
