Disaster management in BangladeshBangladesh is one of the most disaster-prone country in the world. The adverse impacts of all the natural hazards affecting socio-economic condition need to be reduced for sustainable development. The Government of Bangladesh has undertaken a lot of plans and programs for disaster reduction through disaster management.

DefinitionDisaster Management: Disaster management can be defined as the

organization and management of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all humanitarian aspects of emergencies , in particular preparedness, response and recovery in order to lessen the impact of disaster.

Disaster Preparedness It involves measures to ensure that communities and services are capable of coping with the effect of disaster.

Conclusion

Developing countries suffer the greatest costs when a disaster hits – more than 95 percent of all deaths caused by hazards occur in developing countries, the developed country should come forward to improving the disaster management of countries
