Gas AMR Analysis 2011 - 2012

Overall findings: Energy and heating usage data

• Adjust times and set points• Gradual adjustment of frost protection• Caretaker training• Change log created• Review impact of changes • Go back to Schools if further tweaks required

….How to repeat annually? Integrate with annual boiler service?

Recorded Savings

The challenging bit!

• Lights and PCs left on

• ICT suite turned on 1st thing then off at the end of the day

• Kitchen staff turning sterilizers and hot cupboards on 1st thing.

• No heating system is the same. Needs someone with knowledge to tweak

• Heating times and settings set incorrectly

• Could make better use of AMR data to better understand energy consumption. This is particularly useful for identifying heating controls issues. But, needs someone knowledgeable
