WHY I LISTEN TO A DAY TO REMEMBER

A Day to Remember is an American rock band from Ocala, Florida and founded in 2003 by guitarist Tom

Denny and drummer Bobby Scruggs. They are mainly known for their

unusual amalgamation of metalcore and pop punk as a musical style.

A Day to Remember was a fan favorite at Warped Tour 2011. They put their heart into their music, you feel like they are singing the song to you specifically.

Last year in 8th grade, I first listened to A Day to Remembers’ hit song Have Faith in Me.They’re a mix of alternative, rock, metal, and pop (unique, no other way to explain it), These guys quickly became famous with “Homesick” and even with their newest release “What Separates Me From You.”

They immediately became my middle school anthem. I listened to them all day, everywhere, even sneaking the occasional headphone through my shirt collar during math class.

A Day To Remember is one of the most influential and respectable bands out there, no doubt in my mind. They write what they feel, what they thought about all of the haters, and why they love to make music.

A Day To Remember truly care about the other bands out there. They have the philosophy that they never come first, and with that they still never give up on their ambitions and dreams.

No sooner did A Day To Remember step out of the studio, totally satisfied with the just-completed For Those Who Have Heart, did they return to the road, eager to try their brand new songs on to their growing legion of fans. Joushua Woodward, ADTR member says; “This is our best effort so far, and we couldn’t be more excited to show that to everyone.”

The ability to evolve and push boundaries has never been more important than it is now. A Day to Remember has not-so-subtly been taking over, from stereos to mosh pits across the world and while the music industry scrambles to discover the next big thing, A Day to Remember has been becoming it.

A Day to Remember has released four studio albums, nine singles and eight music videos. And obviously, A Day to Remember is awesome because the bassist is way better than Mr. Authier.

A Day To Remember has established a spot in my life as a wide influence, because of the way they have approached music and the fact that they don’t take no for an answer. I’ve had numerous people in my life criticize the music I listen to and point out the flaws in myself, and A Day To Remember has really taught me to ignore these people and pretty much tell them to get out of my way, because I can do anything I want.
