2. ITV ITV is a commercial public service TV network in the UK. It was launched in 1955 as independent television. It is the oldest commercial network in the UK. Since the Broadcasting Act 1990 ITVs legal name has been Channel 3. There are 7 current ITV channels, ITV, ITV2 ITV3, ITV4, ITV HD, CITV and The Store. The target demographic for ITV is: Both males and females aged 40+. They would either be in a full time job or retired with an income of around 150 a week. Ideally the people who watch ITV would be married with either teenage children or children that have left home. The psychographic for ITV is: the resigned. ITV show Murderland (2009) Murderland is a three-part British television series created by David Pirie and directed by Catherine Morshead. SummaryMurderland poses the question of tragedy and curiosity - can one move on from horrible and unexplained events that one experiences as a child, and grow up to make a new life? Or will peace come only once the truth is known? Murderland tells of the mystery surrounding a traumatic murder, as seen from the perspective of the three primary characters. Fox UK Fox is a television channel in the UK and Ireland, owned by Fox International and was launched on 12th January 2004. The target demographic of Fox is both men and women aged between 18 and 35 years old. Their occupation would ideally have them being either a student or being in full time employment. Their income would be roughly 100 + a week. They will either be in a relationship/married/single and will possibly have children. The psychographic for Fox UK is: stugglers. These are people who feel like they can live in the moment, which can fit in with the targeted age range, though other can see them as losers and wasters. They need to be seeing and doing things. Fox UK Show American Horror Story (2011-) American Horror Story: Coven is the third season of the FX horror anthology television series, American Horror Story. Summary - It's been around 300 years since the Salem witch trials. Those who remain are almost extinct and in danger once again. A school has opened in New Orleans to teach young witches how to protect themselves. The long-absent Supreme, Fiona (Jessica Lange), arrives to ensure the safety of the coven and their secrets. Fiona's daughter, Cordelia (Sarah Paulson), teaches at the school. Events reveal a long-held rivalry between the witches of Salem and the Voodoo practitioners of New Orleans, as well as a historic grudge between Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau (Angela Bassett) and socialite serial killer Delphine LaLaurie (Kathy Bates). The primary theme of the season is oppression; specifically, the oppression of marginalized groups. Other themes include witchcraft, Voodoo, racism, and family, such as the relationships between mothers and daughters. Fox TV Show NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service (2003-) Summary: Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs is the leader of a team of special agents belonging to the NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) Major Case Response Team. Gibbs, a former Marine, is a tough investigator and a highly skilled interrogator who relies on his gut instinct as much as evidence. Gibbs' second in command is Senior Field Agent Tony DiNozzo, a womanizing, movie-quoting former Baltimore Homicide Detective, who despite being the class clown always gets the job done. The team also consists of probationary field agent Ziva David, a former Mossad officer who is a skilled fighter, as well as Junior Field Agent Timothy McGee, a computer-savvy agent often mocked by DiNozzo. Assisting them are Abby Sciuto, the energetic-but-Goth lab tech who is like a daughter to Gibbs, and Dr. Donald Mallard, nicknamed Ducky, the eccentric medical examiner full of unusual stories. The target demographic for BBC is: both males and females aged 3 + as the TV shows which are shown on the different channels can include shows both suitable for older and younger generations. The occupation for these people would be school children, students, people in part time employment and people in full time employment. The psychographic for BBC is mainstreamers.
