The erstwhile director Ram Gopal Verma seeing His performance in the movie “Shool" decided to cast in the challenging role of "Sippa" in the movie Jungle. It wasthis role that garnered Him much appreciation and fans among cinemagoersand also made Him win the "Best Actor in a Negative Role" award at the Screen Videocon Awards as well as the Sansui Awards in the year 2000.
