Modern Pakistani Version of Princess and the Pea

• Once upon a time, which is like a year or two ago, there was a rich family looking for a girl for their son whose name was Shazada

• . But they were not very successful because like mothers of all the good eligible bachelors, Shazada’s mother was looking for a girl out of this world.

• She wanted a very beautiful girl, who belonged to a very rich family with a professional degree but above all, who was very young as well. Although how can anyone too young have a professional degree? Any way without answering this one million dollar question we move on with our story.

• So one day their gate keeper came and told them that they have visitor. The lady of the house came to the drawing room and saw that a very beautiful girl, with very stylish branded clothes and accessories was sitting there.

• The girl told her that because of the bad weather, she cannot go any further. All the roads that Cantonment board fixed last year were broken again in the very first heavy rain of the season. She asked the lady of the house if she can stay in their house till the rain stops.

• The girl also told her during the conversation that she is daughter of a big business man and is working in a Multi-national after doing her MBA from abroad.

• As it was already too late she was invited for dinner and an overnight stay. The girl accepted the invitation and called her father on her I-Phone 5S about the overnight stay. When the dinner was served she said she only eats deliveries from big restaurants’ and fast food outlets. She does not like homemade food.

She got a chance to meet Shazada onthe dinner. Shazada was veryimpressed with her Americanizedaccent and Western style.

She was given bed in the guest room. The boy’s mother put heavy bedding on the bed but put a small pea under the

bottom most mattress.

• Next morning the girl complained that the bed was very uncomfortable and she had a terrible, sleepless night. The boy’s mother was now sure that only a rich girl can have such an arrogant attitude and sensitive skin. She immediately asked her if they can come to her house and talk to her parents about her marriage with Shazada.

The girl refused and said that people who cannot take care of their guest, how she can expect them to take care of her as daughter-in-law. With this she walked out on them, her thankless attitude further confirmed that she is a spoiled brat.
