Music advert Music advert analysisanalysis
This advert is sketched/drawn
appearance. I find this a really good technique
because it makes everything seem fresh and new, as if it is a
brand new idea.
Kate Nash music advert:
• The simplicity of the advert works because it is to the point, and blunt. It has the minimal amount of information needed without losing the point of the advert, to advertise their new music. Their fans already know who they are, they just want to know when the new music is released, hence why The Streets use this method to create this connection with their fans.
The Streets:The Streets:
• The poster is not in bright red, bold writing and the band logo name is situate in the top left hand corner which is where our eye is naturally instinctively drawn too.
• The magazine has cut outs from artists which are collaged together in an unorderly fashion.
• This Edition of NME magazine use sepia tone style to shows that this magazine series is about the classic rock and indie bands.
• The main image used on a magazine advert is usually of the artist so that the person reading the magazine is instantly drawn to a face they recognise so they will want to read more and find out more. The advert will normally also include a release date so that the reader can find out when the CD is available to buy.
• The image use very bright, light color, which dominant gold which connote to her crown and she try to describe her self as a queen of pop music
Gwen Stefani
• There is a relationship between the texts and images shown on the advert in that it all keeps in with the theme of royalty. It shows that Gwen seems to be a 'queen' and this could suggest that they are trying to promote her as a the queen of music, which is appropriate as she has been a recording artist for many years.
