Production Career in New York City

Melissa Ruiz is a Segment Producer for Tribune Broadcasting, CW and The Bill Cunningham Show in New York City for two years. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in TV Communications and Radio at William Paterson University in the year of May 2007.

She has a wide array of casting experience from various networks and production companies including MTV, OWN, Mundo Fox, Telemundo, and ITV Studios.

Melissa Ruiz also joined numbers of singing competitions and daytime talk shows. She has a plethora of casting experience that has shaped her career.

Melissa Ruiz’s production career started when she earned her Bachelor’s Degree.

Initially, she was a production coordinator and show correspondent of American Latino and LatiNation for one year.

She assembled travel agenda, DVD dubs and maintained video library and oversee chyrons and credits.

She then became an Associate Producer and Marketing Manager of Diamante Pictures for two years.

She produced eight episodes of reality series, directed sit-down interviews with a few celebrities, and she field produced two music video for Universal Pictures. Melissa Ruiz also booked crews, issued production innsurance, call sheets, created travel itineraries and casting for talents.

As a casting coordinator of MTV Networks, Cover Girl and Seventeen Magazine for more than a year, Melissa Ruiz casted and interviewed season seven of Quiero Mis Quinces and season four of Quiero Mi Boda and she also wrote full write-up for the whole production

Melissa Ruiz was determined to take her production career on MTV Networks and she ended up as a new casting producer for MTV Tr3s and Quiero Mis Quinces. During her career, she casted and interviewed season nine and eifh of Quiero Mis Quinces and Quiero Mi Boda season five.

She served as liaison between candidate, parents and the production team, set up the green light shoot with producers and developed ideas of possible shoot scenes, storylines and drama customized for each candidate

Telemundo, RIDES and NYC Ad Week in the year of September 2012

As an on site producer, she integrated products like appearance of Dodge Dart for 2013 and their upcoming music video and sweepstakes. She also field produced a 2- camera shoot documentary celebrity speakers and Telemundo’s presence at NYC advertising week.

On October 2012, Melissa Ruiz was a Field Producer of NGL Media, mun2 and 18 and Over with Price Royce. She field production, she produced three music tour with Latin artist Prince Royce in San Diego, Bakersfield and Vegas.

After a month, Melissa Ruiz was a casting producer of Red Orange Productions, Telemundo and La Voz Kids where she casted six hundred singers in the Tri-state area for first round of auditions.

In the year January 2013, she was a casting producer for Vimby, Telemundo and Wal-Mart Commercial.

She then became a casting director for Latino National Geographic where she casted Latino couples that wanted to play for a chance to win one hundred thousand dollars.

Throughout her production career, she is now a segment producer for Tribune Broadcasting, CW and The Bill Cunningham Show where she cast in nationwide for weekly shows including phone interviews, write-ups and assisting producers.
