Katy Heart is a 19 year old female artist from London living in Camden. At the

age of 17 she started playing at small bars around London whilst she grew her

fan base by having her own Youtube page where she posted videos of her

singing her own songs. This lead to her being signed to the record label Rough

Trade. Her influences for music as well as style are people such as Kate

Nash, Florence and the machine and Ellie Goulding as they are all very girly

stylish female artists that also come from the indie pop genre of music.

Background

The song I have chose for my artist is Ghosts by Florence

and the machine. I chose this song because it has

elements of both an Indie and Pop genre because it is

quite upbeat and cheery like pop music but it still remains

soft at times like most indie music with meaningful lyrics

related to things such as love which most indie pop music

is based around.

the video as she is the main selling

point for her music due to looks and

image by showing a lot of close ups

to show makeup and clothing. Also

to show things such as facial

expressions and body language to

help tell the story of the song as the

lyrics are really important for the

video because the two link together.

genre because they are upbeat and happy. I want there to be lots of close ups and different shot angles of my artist

through out the video to represent that she is the most important aspect.

Especially because of her style and image which her fan base want to see.
