throughout my research, planning and evaluation stages, using new media technology helped me work efficiently, as most of it was online I didn’t have to worry about losing any work, because all I needed to do was save it at a click of a button, so I could work in the comfort of my own home as well as at school.

BloggerBlogger This was an important media that I had to

use through all my stages, as I had to note down my progress on blogger so my teachers could see how far I was. I was already familiar with blogger since I had to use this for my AS coursework as well. This was a strength as I did not have to worry about wasting time learning how to update my posts. Every part of my coursework is on blogger, from early genre research to the final production.

ResearchResearch

The internet played a key role in research as it is the fastest method of getting information, on genre research as well as watching existing short suspense films on YouTube and other websites, to show me what codes and conventions my final product would need to include.

PlanningPlanning

We used any type of digital technology such as flip cameras and iPods to take photos and record production meetings and audience feedback.

Survey monkey was very important when it came to planning, as we let our target audience’s majority vote rule on what we did, for example type what is their favourite film genre. What film title do they prefer out of the following etc.

The internet was very important for our production, as we needed to make sure our weather would be the same every time when we were filming, so checking on the internet for the weather forecast was useful.

The Sony camera was used to record most of our footage, it gave our film good quality.

EvaluationEvaluationI posted my film up on facebook to get an evaluation from our target audience.

Also in lesson our media class evaluated our film, telling us how we can improve and what they liked from it.
