Location Shots

Page 2: Location shots

This is the entrance to Hampstead Heath, the location we will be filming at. We thought it’s be wise to take pictures of possible locations to shoot our trailer.

Here are some pictures of locations we will not be using as we felt it was too open and the ‘Mise-en-scene’ didn’t feel right as we required more leaves, winter trees and isolated areas away from the public.

We found these areas interesting. Although we decided that it was still too open and close to the public; we felt it would look good in a poster when the lighting is a little darker with a few enhancements on Photoshop.

We were slowly getting deeper into the woods and finally found shots that we could use in our trailer. The bench has a message across it ‘in memory of...’ we thought we could have a shot with the group having a look at the bench. The name on the bench could also tie in with the ‘supernatural being’.

Here are images of locations we would have loved to film in as it has that ‘Spooky’ look but in the end we felt the ground was too uneven and there was too much things on the ground which made it unsuitable to set up a tent.

Here are the images of the location we will do the majority of our filming. We felt there was enough trees around, enough leaves, it had the isolated feel to it and the ground was suitable enough to set up tents. We also found a tree that had been cut down and left there which we felt could have a dramatic impact on the ‘Mise-en-scene’. The leaves on the ground were crucial for one of the shots we had planned. Ultimately we felt this location was perfect for filming.

Main filming site

This location is not too far from the main location site. It’s very similar to the main site but we needed a patch of leaves that covers the entire ground for one shot we had in mind (Bess running with the camera, camera pointing toward the leaves and her shoes).

These images are at the main filming site. On arrival we decided to prepare ourselves for filming which is why we spray painted the tree with a sign that relates to the ‘supernatural being’ and also engrave initials of our characters ‘Sean Evans (SE)’, Bessie Carter (BC)’, Arthur Reid (AR).
