Biography

Emerging Independent UK R&B/Soul artist, Kelly Erez is no stranger to critical acclaim as she embarks on promotional work in support of her debut album ‘Come To Me’ released via Definition Music.

The reaction to Kelly and her debut EP, released in 2011, has been nothing short of fantastic. With BBC Radio support from DJ Target (1Xtra), Tom Robinson (6 Music) and Tony Blackburn (GLR) and growing critical acclaim online adding to the groundswell of media support, Kelly is being hailed by the online R&B press as ‘putting the soul back into R&B.’ Click the links to read more and you will get a rounded view of what Kelly is about and what others say about her.

It’s no accident that Kelly Erez has been in the Top 3 of the Reverbnation UK R&B/Soul Chart for much of 2011; a chart position that is driven by her popularity with music fans and her growing fan-base online. Despite being Independent, Kelly has been collaborating with some of the biggest established writers in the UK in the last year. And yet regardless of working with these writers responsible for hits with Celine Dion, Kylie, Maxi Priest and Gabrielle to name but a few, Kelly’s debut album is a direct collaboration between her and her sister, Natalie Erez, who also handled the production of the record. The album is mixed by Mercury nominated mix engineer and producer Ian Carter.

With a solid foundation in R&B/Soul, the diversity of Kelly’s music really shines through, track by track. From R&B to the most delicate of Soul tracks, the quality of the song writing, pop sensibilities and glossy production are all encapsulated by Kelly’s passionate performances and vibrant, friendly personality. Some may say that Kelly’s glossy transatlantic sound is in direct contradiction to her grounded upbringing in Stratford in the East End of London.Fan-engagement is an integral part of Kelly’s music – not only because she recognizes that it’s these fans who can really help make her dream happen, but because she has a genuine love of connecting with people. ‘Join me on my journey’ is a phrase often accompanying messages Kelly sends out, eliciting moving responses from fans across the globe.

You do not have to look far online to see the reaction to Kelly’s trademark voice and standout songs that move you. Just ‘Googling’ Kelly’s name, looking at the hundreds of comments on her YouTube Channel or the thousands of fans on her Twitter, Facebook and MySpace sites will leave you in no doubt that Kelly Erez is one of the most talked about and highly thought of Independent artists in the UK.

The momentum is building behind her debut album, ‘Come To Me’ with numerous BBC live sessions and interviews completed, feature articles in Blues & Soul and Flavour Magazines to name but two and rave reviews in the 9/10 range, 2013 looks to be a sterling year for Kelly Erez.

“The tracks are delicious. Kelly’s innate soul percolates to the top of each of them and inhabits the core elements of each song. She could so easily have emerged from North America’s heartland of R&B and soul but, no, she hails from Stratford, London, and does her nation proud with her song-writing talents and impeccable delivery.”5/5 Reviewed Online UK
