France is very famous for its cheese, in fact France produces enough types of cheese that you could eat a different one each day of the year. In Livarot , Normandy they even hold a cheese festival.

Truffles

Frogs legs Have you ever eaten frogs legs? Well in France they are a great delicacy. They are told to taste surprisingly like chicken and are told to be very delicious.

SnailsAnother word for snails is escargot A lot of snails are stuffed with parsley and butter and then they are ready to cook. There are also snail races held in France! After the escargot have passed a fasting period for 5 or 6 days in wooden boxes they are washed in running water. Next they are put in a big container with a hand full of flour. The snails will produce a lot of foam in what is called disgorging themselves, they are then cooked and served as a starter/ main course.
