Challenge

● 'Find two household items and combine them to make a sport.'

In a house full of children,

even toys are a household

item.

Sport

● 'Sport is imposing order on what was chaos.'– Anthony Starr

If we believe this to be true,

then a house of children is

full of sport, and their toys

are household items.

Solution

● Make sport with the children.

Ask a child 'what game might you make of this item,' and it immediately becomes a sport. A stick becomes a bat for baseball; an air filled balloon becomes a grenade that explodes if it touches the floor, or the head of a doll becomes the centre of a team game combining tennis and soccer, with a couch as a goal.
