The Bolesławiec Tradition

Elegance and unique style, as well as high-level functionality, are the

hallmarks of these traditional stoneware pieces. Handcrafted in the oldest

ceramics factory in Bolesławiec, Poland, this authentic European stoneware provides beauty, style, and charm.

EuroQuest carries only first quality shapes and patterns in this traditional

hand-painted technique known as Bunzlauer. Tiny sponges saturated with food-safe ceramic paint are

hand-stamped on pre-fired pieces, the process often requiring over ten types of sponges for each item. The pieces

are then covered with a lead-free glaze and fired at 2200°F, assuring long-

lasting beauty and protection. High durability and resistance permit safe

microwave, oven, and dishwasher use as well as resistance to chipping.

These European fermenting crocks are specially designed for making sauerkraut, pickles and other fermented vegetables. The crocks offer a unique water well seal for the lid to ensure a pure fermentation

process and an easy-drain to pour off extra liquid during this process. The

stones are placed inside the crock to hold the contents below the brine level. These

crocks are recommended in the latest “How To” cook books as the easiest, cleanest and safest way to ferment

healthy and delicious vegetables. These pickle pots and bowls are also made of the same high quality stoneware as our
