In the case of
Our definition of what is acceptable for motion modifications is relatively broad. We consider taking distributed data and changing it to be an entirely acceptable practice. This is also true for effects.
Definition of Modifications Characters / Background models For
→ Redrawn textures → OR → Changes to model shape →
Official model Modified model
Case-by-case, but unless the changed element is 90% different, not acceptable.
Fully original model → model created using officially distributed skeleton → Official skeleton
Recognized as your original creation
Fully original model → Created entirely by yourself from scratch→
Entirely original
Official model → only changed the filename → Modified model
Is not your original creation
Official model Hard to measure, but acceptable as long as the content is over 50% changed.
Modified Model → Redrawn textures → AND → Changes to model shape →
It is difficult for us to assess model originality as they are attached other content. For this reason we believe unless both textures and model shape have changes it is not acceptable. This is also true for 2D.
