THE FILM 

“Marley and Me” is a comedy and sentimental drama film adapted from the book written by Scott

Frank. It was produced by Gil Netter, Kevin Halloran and Karen Rosenfelt and it was taken into the big screen by David Frankel. This film

was stared by Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston as John and Jenny Grogan.

      THE STORY 

The story is about two newspaper writters called John and Jenny Grogan who are recently married.

They decided to adopt a little lab dog named “Marley” (after Bob Marley). As the Grogan

mature and have children of their own, Marley test everyone’s patience by destroying everything! For example: the furniture, the floor of the house, etc. Although Marley was a naughty dog, this family learns important life lessons from him, because Marley stands by John and Jenny and he always

takes care of their children.

What was your favourite scene?My favourite scene was when John lets Marley run into the sea and played with other dogs. Here in this scene you can listen to a beautiful song called “Lucky

Man” by REM. 

What was your favourite character and why?

My favouritte character was “Marley” because of two reasons. In the first place,

because since he was a little dog, he refused to obey and follow the rules and

he made me laugh all the time! In the second place, because he remembered

me a dog we had when I lived in Córdoba with my family. Her name was

“Lacky”.

- As regards the acting, I consider Owen Wilson the best comical actor and one of my favorites! Jennifer Aniston was quite good

also. - As regards the settings, I can say that the locations

were amazing! “Marley and Me” was filmed in two

completely different places. One of them was Florida (where you can see the beach, the house of the

Grogans with swimming pool, etc) The other was

Pensilvania (the mountains, the snow, etc).

- As regards the special effects, I can say that it was not the type of movie based on that. But, what I found interesting about the movie was that the director needed 22 dogs to

represent Marley at differents ages. - As regards the costumes, I consider they are quite

appropriate for each character. In the case of John, he wears a suit or a pair of jeans with a shirt (for example, when he goes to work). In the case of Jenny, she wears skirts and shirts or T-shirts and trousers (depending on the weather

conditions or the scenes)
