Background

• Due to the rise in popularity of teaching and instructing electronically, Alpha Gamma Rho’s National Board of Directors has made it a priority to develop a set of online e-tools to help educate and instruct our members on a wide array of topics and areas.

Mission of Task Force

• The mission of the Task Force on E-tools is to identify and develop enhancements to on-line training programs for all AGR members, and thereby cause a significant increase in positive experience AGR provides.

Today’s Objectives

• Gain a stronger understanding of the scope and potential strong up-side of E-Tools for Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity

• Share and consider initial insights gained from AGR brothers in desire to utilize technology in learning, content needs and gaps and potential e-tools applications

• Gather input in the learning needs of the target audiences identified

• Provide strong guidance to the task force in the development and implementation of the E-tools initiative

Initiative OverviewAGR will identify and develop

enhancements to learning and development programs for all AGR brothers integrating both traditional methods and e-tools, and thereby cause a significant increase in positive development experiences AGR provides.

The utilization of interactive e-tools combined with current curriculum and programs will provide

continuity of programming and enhance the retention of learning

• providing for more consistent and effective recruitment and development of new and current brothers

• shortening the ramp-up time and increase the effectiveness of new officers

• increasing the effectiveness of advisers and housemothers and provide much needed online tools and resources for both groups

• increasing the effectiveness and management of alumni boards

Enhance Retention of Learning

– the combination of multiple learning platforms including e-tools enhances learning

– AGR undergraduate and alumni brothers have a desire to utilize technology in learning.

– The National AGR through its home office and local chapters have access to current quality programming and curriculum delivered in a multitude of settings

– The National AGR has the ability and resources required to develop effective and engaging e-tools.

– Undergraduates have access to computers to access learning.
