A synopsis is a typical plot of a film. This can describe what happens, the mise-en-

scene, plot, lighting, special effects, sound, the camera, location, narrative clues and cinematography.

A typical plot for a psychological thriller would contain anticipation, tension and suspense.

The film director will try capture your emotions and mess with your dreads.

They also try to have a lot of cliff hangers. This helps to engage the audience with the film.

The plot is also ambiguous. There is a planned death. Or a murder. There are twists and turns in the plot. They want you to think.

The props are either used to hide identity of the villain. This helps lead fear to the audience because they don’t know who or what the villain is.

Blood is also used to show that someone is danger. Crosses to show religion is used also this sh0ws that

what is happening to the person, it can happen to anyone because it is affecting an innocent person in the film.

Knifes are the most popular props in psychological thriller films because it shows death. This shows that when there are knifes or guns someone is in danger. And when seen on scene something bad is about to happen.

Special effects are normally used for the open sequence.

This is used to capture what to expect in the film.

This is mainly shown by the captions. Also the way that that sequence is edited

shows the mood of the story. It is normally short and sketchy. This is because it shows that not all is right.

Lighting is normally low, this is because it is so it is dark and mysterious. This can lead to the audience to be suspense. This is because they don’t know what is going to happen.

It can also show that they are hiding something, that the audience might be interested in.

The typical sound that is used is high pitch. This is because it shows that something is about to happen.

The sound also tells a story. This is because the type of music that is used links in to how a character might feel.

The close up is normally used this is to show the expression on someone's face. This helps you to understand what is happening and how someone is feeling.

A low and high angle shots shows who is seen as more powerful and who is seen as small and vulnerable.

The location of this typical thriller indicates that if it is set in a isolated place. The person is normally isolated from society.

Or if it is located in a place like a school where people can relate to how you feel.
