ZoneSafe is a proximity warning system that protects personnel from accidental vehicle collisions.
In simple terms it is a detection system that detects personnel and assets around vehicles and creates an alarm to warn drivers of oncoming risk.

ZoneSafe Proximity Warning and Alert Systems use RFID technology. There are three main components which create the system - The in-cab control unit, detection antenna and activeRFID tag.

The in-cab control unit is fitted within reach of the vehicle’s operator. An audible visual alarm alerts the driver every time anyone wearing an active RFID tag enters the detection zone. The unit has the capability to store and send data on each ZoneSafe application.

The detection antenna is fitted to the vehicle and creates a 3-9 metre detection zone around the vehicle. More than one antenna may be fitted depending on the size of the vehicle. Anyone wearing an active RFID tag will be identified when they enter the detection zone.

An active RFID tag is worn by all personnel. The tag can be placed in a hi viz jacket, clipped to a lanyard or simply placed in your pocket. Every time a tag enters the danger zone around the vehicle, the antenna instantly reads the tag and sets off the alarm on the in cab control unit.
