What is a debooster?A Crown Debooster Pressure Sensor senses hydraulic line pressure, reduces it at a ratio of four to one and then transmits that reduced pressure to a gauge designed to read this reduced pressure.

How does a debooster work?Hydraulic fluid enters the 1502 base lower sub of the sensor and pushes on a rubber diaphragm.

This diaphragm squeezes, and as it does it puts pressure on the fluid in the debooster housing pushing up the piston.

The debooster is designed to reduce the pressure in the housing 4 to1, so that when the pressure leaves the sensor and travels to the gauge it is 4 times less than when it entered the debooster.

The gauge senses the pressure exiting the debooster, and this reading is seen on the gauge dial.
