COMPANY PROFILE

TUBOSIDER was founded in 1964 by Delio Ruscalla who opened

a small plant in Mongardino d’Asti for the manufacture

of corrugated steel culverts. In a short time, Delio Ruscalla

created a company leader in its sector, at both domestic and

international level.

Today TUBOSIDER is the guaranteed trademark for the design,

manufacture and installation of products for road and railway

applications such as: steel culverts, road barriers, tunnel lining &

equipment, stormwater storage systems and noise barriers.

Each year over 1 million people are killed and 50 million injured on roads around the world.

The socio-economic cost for road accident injuries has been estimated at around 2% of EU countries’ gross

domestic product - around Euro 180 billion and twice the EU’s annual budget.

The EU Commission has adopted an ambitious Road Safety Programme which aims to cut road deaths in Europe between 2011 and 2020. The programme sets out a mix of initiatives, at European and national level, focusing on improving vehicle safety, the safety of infrastructure and road users’ behaviour.

To respond effectively to the road injury reduction challenge, Tubosider is constantly developing new better
