JOB DESCRIPTION Name of the position: Senior DevOps Engineer for Lohika Financial Analytics Project Purpose of the job Our Silicon Valley customer provides a modern financial & operational planning, forecasting & analytics platform. They deliver unified performance management apps that exceed organizations' wildest dreams for power, usability, mobility, and cost savings. Using 21st- century technology, customers apps offer on-demand performance management capabilities that work like real business people work. We are looking for a full-time Senior DevOps engineer to help our customer resolve live production issues, build out their AWS and Big Data infrastructure, and support our local development teams here in Ukraine. Main tasks and responsibilities Supporting Java production and development environments in real time Building out AWS infrastructure Creating and supporting Big Data environments (e.g. Spark clusters) Assist deployment teams with product integration Investigate, evaluate & introduce tools, technologies & techniques Education, skills and experience The successful candidate should meet the following requirements: 5+ of commercial DevOps experience Good Linux administration skills Networking Good knowledge of AWS Experience or willingness to quickly learn about Hadoop ecosystem, Yarn, Mesos, Zookeeper, Spark Experience with CentOS/Ubuntu Perfect communication skills Upper-intermediate level of English Would be a plus: Experience with SaaS and Enterprise applications Experience in supporting JVM-based environments (glu-console, Nexus repository manager) Experience with Groovy Experience with Jenkins, Puppet, Neo4j, Postgres Personal competencies: Fast learning skills Result-oriented skills Team-playing skills Responsibility Personal motivation Verbal/written communication skills
