Abstract
• Quality of service(Qos) is a pivotal index of WSNs• WSNs one of the most important Qos factors is energy.• For the limitation of energy it is vital to save energy consumption for
maintaining network• The Qos based protocols allow sensor nodes to make a tradeoff
between the energy consumption and some Qos metrics before delivering the data to the sink node.
Energy Efficiency and QOS aware multiple routing protocol (EQRS)• Assumption• Link cost function (for next hope)• Path discovery Phase• Path maintainance (KEEPALIVE)• Path selection• Traffic allocation and data transmission• Data transfer across multiple path• -Data pct segmentation and encoding• -data forwarding and recovery
EQRS
• Performance evaluation1. Average end-to-end delay2. PDR (pct delivery ratio)
Sequential Assignment Routing(SAR)• Table-driven multi-path approach to achieve energy efficiency & fault
tolerance• Creates trees rooted at one hop neighbors of the sink -> Form
multiple paths from sink to sensors• QoS metrics, energy resource, priority level of each packet
• Local Failure Recovery• Select one of the paths according to the energy resources and QoS on
the path• High overhead to maintain tables and states at each sensor
Directed Alternative Spanning Tree (DAST)• Broadcast RQP & get response from neighbour in form of RPP• Knowing the X-Y Cordinates and remaining energy of the nodes• node has its own location, the Sink’s X-Y coordinates, all neighbor
nodes’ X-Y coordinates and remaining energy of each neighbor
