Philosophy
Collection vs. Prevention: Why would you want to collect a strike when you could
prevent it?
A complete lightning protection system (LPS):A complete LPS should include direct strike
protection, grounding solutions and surge protection.
Cookie cutter solutions usually don’t work: No two facilities are alike. Each facility needs to be
assessed and designed according to it’s own
requirements, environment and type.

Core Products & Technology DAS®
Created for all facility types and based on Charge Transfer Technology the Dissipation Array
System (DAS) is Lightning Eliminator’s primary lightning protection system which prevents a
strike from happening within an area of protection. Each system is customized for the specific
facility and environment it is designed to protect. The Spline Ball Ionizer and Spline Ball
Terminals originated from the same technology but are less robust, comprehensive and
expensive solutions.
RGA® 750Based on state-of-the-art grounding principles the RGA’s design cares for flaws in competitive
methods of floating roof tank protection. The original RGA substantially reduces the risk of
tank fires by subduing sustained arcs during lightning events and other electrical phenomena.
The RGA does this better than other traditional methods for bonding floating roofs because the
retractable cable is always at the shortest possible length. The resultant low resistance and
impedance results in too low of a voltage to sustain the arc, i.e., no fire. The RGA 750 is all the
RGA was but has been optimized with pre-tensioning, better corrosion resistance and is lighter
due to the aluminum cable.
Chem-Rod®
Designed to solve problems found with conventional ground rods by requiring less real estate
and fewer electrodes to meet specified resistance. Chem-Rod creates an optimal electrical
connection to earth with a large conductive surface.

Standards/Differentiators
DAS®Does not collect a strike but prevents a strike from terminating within a designated area |
There are no present standards around DAS as it is a one-of-a-kind, customized solution.
SBI/SBT Also based on Charge Transfer Technology – They are duel-purposed to both prevent
a strike and collect the ones they cannot prevent. They are also extremely well suited for windy
conditions and more unique structures | Both the SBI and SBT are UL Listed and approved for sale
globally.
RGA® 750 A retractable cable is always at the shortest possible length resulting in low
resistance and impedance. The resulting voltage is too low to sustain the arc, i.e., no fire.
The RGA conforms to both API 545 and NFPA 780 recommendations and meets the API 545
requirements for a bypass conductor. It is also ATEX approved.
Chem-Rod® Low Impedance Grounding requires less real estate and fewer electrodes to
meet specified resistance.
LEC Chem-Rods are UL listed.
