DESCRIPTION
Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is an international drawing language that is used on engineering drawings to accurately describe a part. It is a system of symbols, rules, and definitions used to define the size, form, orientation, and location of part features. GD&T is a powerful tools in manufacturing industries today that can improve quality, reduce cost, and shorten delivery time. Nearly every company in United States and many companies in Malaysia and around the world use the ASME Y14.5-2009 Standards on GD&T in their engineering drawings. GD&T is a compulsory knowledge for engineers, technicians, CAD/CAE and Quality Control staff, and even a company manager will gain an extra benefit by mastering this powerful engineering drawing language tools.
