Balmoral Group, the pioneering subsea product design and manufacturing company, has never missed an SPE Offshore Europe in its 36 year history.
Having grown from five people to more than 600 since 1980, Balmoral has expanded in tandem with Aberdeen’s largest conference and exhibition.
Over the years the company has done deals at the show, made new contacts, spent hundreds of hours networking, launched new technologies and reconnected with old acquaintances and colleagues. Jim Milne, chairman and managing director of Balmoral is a well-known fixture, flying the flag for the North Sea oil and gas industry, always wearing his kilt on the stand.

Balmoral chose to launch its limited edition book ‘ABZ and Big Oil’ at the 2015 SPE Offshore Europe to celebrate 50 years of North Sea oil and gas activity and the company’s 35th anniversary.
The publication covers all the key discoveries, events, political machinations and achievements of many local organisations with their roots in the North Sea that went on to become global successes.
One of the many benefits of Offshore Europe is having access to the press room and the journalists from the UK and overseas who are interested in writing about the industry and latest developments. It enables face to face contact with the global media and a chance to build worthwhile relationships.
It is a challenging climate for the whole industry at the moment, however we think it’s important to support SPE Offshore Europe and help make it a continued success as it brings many economic and wider benefits to the North East.
