Your Guide to the BCECE

Introduction

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE), much better known as

the Bihar CET, is a common entrance exam that students need to clear in order to get

admission to a number of undergraduate courses in the fields of medical, engineering,

and agriculture, as are offered by colleges in Bihar.

The Format

The details about the pattern of the BCECE 2017 are as follows:

• The exam will be held in two different stages in April and in May, 2017

• The questions in the exam will all be multiple choice questions

• There is negative marking, with students losing 1 mark for every wrong answer

• The Stage 1 exam will be held for 2 hours and 15 minutes, while the Stage 2 exam will be held

for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

• The first stage will have 50 questions each for sections of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and

Mathematics; while stage 2 will have 100 questions each

Application Process

To apply for the BCECE 2017, candidates need to visit www.bceceboard.com and select “Apply for

BCECE 2017”, to fill up the BCECE 2017 application form.

• Fill up the required information in the BCECE 2017 application form. After that, you will

receive your registration number on the mobile number you entered.

• Pay the examination fee, either with a bank challan (Canara Bank) or online

• After payment, fill in your personal details.

• Enter your education details and then submit the BCECE 2017 application form.

After you have submitted the form, you will need to download a copy and then sent both the parts to

the BCECE board.

BCECE 2017 Syllabus

The basic topics that will be covered in the BCECE 2017 are:

Physics: Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Work Energy and Power,

Kinematics, Nature of Physical Laws, Laws of Motion, etc.

Chemistry: Polymers, Surface Chemistry, Equilibrium, Thermodynamics, Chemical

Bonding and Structure of Atom, Molecular Structure, Basic Concepts of Chemistry,

etc.

Biology: Ecology & Environment, Plant Physiology, Cell: Structure & Functions,

Diversity in living world, etc.

Mathematics: Determinants, Algebra, Relations & Functions, Statistics & Probability,

Calculus, Trigonometric Functions, Relations & Functions, Sets, etc.
