Overview
• XO MPLS IP-VPN is a multi-site, private networking service for IP data and voice transport
• Uses MPLS and is competitive with legacy services such as ATM, Frame-Relay, and long-haul private line - MPLS specifically designed for IP transport
• Provides access-agnostic transport• DS-1, DS-3, OC-3c, OC-12c, OC-48c– Ethernet incremental bandwidth options from 10 Mbps through 1000 Mbps for Fiber access
and 3 Mbps through 20 Mbps for Ethernet over Copper access
• Puts the routing intelligence in the network router, not the Customer Premise Equipment (CPE)
• Allows routing of traffic by Class of Service (CoS)

such as VoIP, business applications, and point-of-sale applications with maximum performance

MPLS Tunnel
Remote Site with T-1 Access running VoIP (XO IP Flex). Internet Access provided via XO IP Flex
Remote Site with T-1 access running VoIP (XO IP Flex) and Video. Internet Access provided via XO IP Flex
Remote Site running Video with T-1 Access, and Internet Access provided by HQ Site
HQ Site, running VoIP and Video, with DS-3 Internet Access serving HQ and other remote sites

Management Options
• Lease and XO-Manage– The customer can lease CPE from XO and have XO manage the equipment– If the customer has XO IP Flex, then XO must rent and manage the CPE
• Lease and Self-Manage– The customer can lease CPE from XO, but manage the equipment themselves
• Buy and Self-Manage– Customers can provide and manage their own equipment to access the Network-based IP-VPN
