World IP Day Celebration 2013

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Geneva and other member countries founded this celebration day (World IP Day) in 2000. On the same day in 1970, WIPO convention originally entered into force. In order to creating awareness among the people, every year it has new themes those are generally reflecting to the importance of creativity and innovation in our societies. WIPO, Geneva manage this event through the social media channels, to have a strong interaction with common masses. Themes for last 13 years, empowering morally to people for celebrating this day: 2001 : Creating the Future Today. 2002 : Encouraging Creativity. 2003 : Make Intellectual Property Your Business. 2004 : Encouraging Creativity. 2005 : Think, Imagine, Create. 2006 : It Starts With An Idea. 2007 : Encouraging Creativity. 2008 : Celebrating innovation and promoting respect for intellectual property. 2009 : Green Innovation. 2010 : Innovation – Linking the World. 2011 : Designing the Future. 2012 : Visionary Innovators. 2013 : Creativity – The Next Generation. Generally, educational institutions choose World IP Day (26th April) as a great time to celebrate with innovative stories of students or researchers in concerned aspiring fields such as new industrial designs, inventions, creative artistic activities, entrepreneur stories etc.
