Year 4/5 October 7th 2010

Families looked at the herbs which would have been

used in Tudor times. They

made nosegays and decorated them with the Tudor Rose.

Year 1 October 12th 2010

Families made puppets using recycled milk

containers. They will use them to support

their castles, dragons and princesses

project.

Reception October 19th 2010

Mums, dads and grans joined their children to act out the Magic Porridge Pot story and sample yummy

porridge!

Year 5 November 2nd 2010

Kestrel class recorded the legend of Theseus and the Minotaur. They added sound effects and even designed their own CD covers.

Year 3 November 9th 2010

Three families in Yr 3 enjoyed writing with quill

pens to support their Tudor project. They discovered how the

Tudors made ink using soot, egg white and

honey.

Year 2 November 16th 2010

Families in Yr 2 enjoyed taking a close look at a collection of

“Mystery Lamps”. How were they used? How old do you think

they are?
