The mission of D&D Helping Others Inc is to provide a vehicle for redevelopment, rehabilitation, reeducation and employment to the community at large, seeking justice for all.(On The Right Track Program), strives to facilitate an environment where the illiterate, elderly, youth, physically challenged, hurting, socially challenged and intransient individual can be nourished, renew their strength, hope and achieve their goals of empowerment enabling life changing decisions to be made and productive members of society to come forth.

D&D Helping Others Inc.VISION:

The vision of D&D Helping Others Inc. is to build self-esteem, reshape and unlock the windows of the ever-changing human spirit. On The Right Track Program, endeavors to facilitate networking, employment, mentorship, literacy reading, social skills training, computer training, workshops, youth programs , and community restoration projects, social events, housing consulting, interviewing techniques, resume writing, donated clothing, and shuttle programs.

D&D Helping Others Inc.On the Right Track Program” was designed to provide assistance to individuals that experience barriers in finding employment due to felony convictions, substance abuse, and mental and/or physical disabilities. The program offers the following services:

Job Placement – This component will identify potential employers and refer all qualified clients for consideration.

Job Seeking Skills -Provide clients with the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct an independent job search and maintain employment by educating them on the following:

D&D Helping Others Inc.Goal Planning - will help clients identify realistic short and long-range goals, establish realistic timelines, and focus on the activities required to achieve a positive employment outcome.

Resume Development – clients will receive assistance with the development of a personal resume that highlights their skills, training and previous work history in a positive manner.

Job Search Plan Development – each client will leave the training with the knowledge of where and how to identify employment opportunities and openings. They will also receive assistance with developing an individualized job search plan.

Interview Preparation – workshops will discuss the

do’s and don’ts of interviewing. Role-playing will help the clients prepare for upcoming interviews.

Job Keeping Strategies and Support Services - Will

educate clients on performance and behavioral issues that affect success on the job. Will work with clients to ensure they get to work on time and doing a good job.

D&D Helping Others Inc.Referrals

Clients may be referred by agencies such as Texas Rehabilitation Commission, Department of Labor, Probation and Parole for employment opportunities.

Outreach

Outreach services will be available to clients who are incarcerated and approaching release from institutions.D&D Helping Others Inc will provide the following services

D&D Helping Others Inc. Pre-Release Training inside the institutions to those who are eligible. Job Quest Training (JQT) will educate clients how to conduct effective job searches with felony convictions.

Will demonstrate how to complete employment applications, develop resumes and conduct mock interviews to see what areas may require further training in order to obtain employment.

Will network with various housing facilities to provide these services

D&D Helping Others Inc.D&D Helping Others Inc., On The Right Track Program is highly selective of every potential referral. Each applicant is screened and thoroughly tested before being classified and added to our employee roster.

To supplement our screening program, D&D Helping Others Inc applicant’s references and backgrounds are also checked. This enables our recruiters to get an appraisal of the applicant’s work ethics and motivational ability. This is done by telephone and mail follow-up previous employers prior to candidate being schedule for assignment.

D&D Helping Others Inc.NetworkingD&D Helping Others Inc will network with various businesses, companies in order to provide them with qualified applicants to meet their employment needs. This component will be accomplished by the following activities:Securing necessary documents (drivers license, social security, birth certificates); Provide information concerning Job Fairs to clients (location, date and time);Screening clients to ensure they have the qualification before referring them;Schedule interviews for qualified clients.

D&D Helping Others Inc will educate employers concerning tax credits they will receive for hiring our clients. Bonding will also be available for those who qualify.

Education/Training

Clients will be encouraged to continue education in order to increase their value in the work place. Training programs will be made available for those who qualify at no cost.

Support Services

In order to ensure the success of our clients, it is very important to provide follow-up to assist the client in maintaining employment. Job Coaching allows the client to return to D&D Helping Others Inc in case of situations that may develop while working. Counseling will be provided to avoid workplace problems and help client to be a productive employee.
