The Boy and the Treeby Will.C

"Mum do we have to go". Yes replied the mum "now let's go".

2 hours later, "alright we're here why don't you go check out the backyard" said my mum

I slowly walked outside looking at all the trees. Then I saw this really big and narrow tree I ran over to it.

I climbed up to the top and in the tree was carved letters. I

stop and curiously wondered if someone has been here before

me.The next day I went outside with a knife and carved

my name in the tree I remember it being a sunny day

so I sat under the tree

I sat there all day sometimes I climbed to the top.1year later I woke up and went into the

clean kitchen to have breakfast. I looked outside at the tree there was bark on

the ground lots of small lonely bark that made me wondered if I should go and play on the tree. When I get back from

school I said to myself.

I arrived back at my old rusty home and went outside in the direction of the tree but it wasn't there it was laying on the

ground it was taking up all the space in the backyard I sprinted inside and told my mum I started to cry cold, small drips hitting the ground splash after splash.

I was very sad we called a removal tree company and they took not only the tree away they also took the generations with it. So I went to a garden shop and bought a tree but not as big and strong. I

planted it right next to the other tree every day I warted the new

tree

When it got taller I let my kids play on it they

too carved there names on the tree I thought

back what all the great times I had with it and I hope it always stays with

me.
