Protec;ng Colorful Colorado
As an outdoor enthusiast, I appreciate the bounty that nature has bestowed upon my home state of Colorado. Thus, I believe that we must be proac?ve in our efforts to protect the unique flora and fauna found on our planet so that they may be enjoyed by genera?ons to come. That is a major reason why I am involved with the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Founded in 1926 as a not-‐for-‐profit public trust, the Zoo has evolved into one of the finest private parks in the na?on, largely due to its focus on conserva?on. With animal exhibits that feature more than 30 endangered species and its Quarters for Conserva?on program, the Zoo con?nues to support protec?on and preserva?on efforts at home and around the world.
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo: Outreach
The Zoo also sponsors outreach efforts in our community, crea?ng opportuni?es for children and families who might otherwise never get to experience such animal encounters. Special events help involve everyone, from every neighborhood, including more than 40,000 children every year.
Suppor;ng the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is one of the few accredited zoos to operate without the benefit of tax support. Its opera?onal funding comes solely from admissions, fees, memberships, and dona?ons and grants. I hope you’ll consider becoming a part of this remarkable effort.
