• The Redevelopment of Wentworth Point has to be

modern while still being Eco friendly and sustainable. We

aim to use natural resources in the building stages and

furnish it with ecofriendly sustainable features like water

tanks, compost bins and solar panels.

• The reason for the Discovery Centre is to learn about the

community inside Wentworth Point, the community of

Sydney and the community of the World. The Discovery

Centre will also have an area that tells visitors about the

history of Wentworth Point.

Our Eco Friendly Sustainable Idea’s

• We use solar panels to power our heating and cooling.

For example our lights run half on solar and half from the

electricity from our power station. We are trying to reduce

this amount and we estimate that by 2025 all our lighting

will run on solar electricity.

• We also use solar electricity for all our power points. For

Example if you need to charge your phone, you normally

plug it in and charge it wow nothing special happened

well actually it is normal but the energy it come from re-

useable sustainable natural sources so you can feel good

that you are doing the earth some good.

• We use recycled rain water for all your every day water

needs like drinking water, irrigation and hygiene. Ok you

know that we use recycled rain water but I bet you are

wondering how we collect it. Well when it rains the water

runs through the guttering through pipes until it reaches a

steel tank then gradually the water in filtered for a

particular purpose more filtering for clean drinking water

and less filtering for toilet water.

• This filtered water is used all over Wentworth Point.

and the fruit and vegies from the

compost bin will be post into a

giant compost bin and then once

it has broken down it will be used
